About Michigan Industrial Products
Our founder, Richard Hartnett, started the company in 1975. Specializing in lubricants for the Forging Industry, MIP’s first home was in the corner of a large chemical manufacturing company which burned to the ground in 1976. After a brief stint in a cinder block building out in the countryside, our company planted it’s roots in the City of Port Huron, MI.
Our Story
Providing Specialty Lubricants and Coatings Since 1975
By 1980 Hartnett’s experience in the “metalworking” industry had propelled the growth of the business enough to support a move to a building in Port Huron’s industrial park. This move enabled us to expand our manufacturing capabilities to include lubricants for extrusion, casting, and gasket coatings to compliment our well established forging product lines.
Through distributors, direct sales, and OEMs, our products are sold in North America, Central America, Puerto Rico, Europe, and throughout the Pacific rim.
High Quality Industrial Lubricants and Coatings
At Michigan Industrial Products Co, we manufacture the highest quality products for the forging, casting, extrusion, and coating industries. Our high-temperature lubricants and specialty gasket coatings prevent damage to expensive machinery, and injury to metalworkers, and protect the integrity of metalworking equipment, parts, and manufactured goods.
